Workshops

Industry-led workshops at the ADScAI Summit 2025 will offer hands-on learning experiences, equipping participants with practical skills and insights into emerging AI and data science technologies. These sessions aim to foster collaboration between academia and industry, bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications.
Stay tuned for interactive workshops designed to enhance your skills and industry connections.

Hands-on with Language Models and AI Agents
Small Language Models, Fine-Tuning, Alignment & Explainability
This workshop covers key techniques for optimizing Small Language Models (SLMs), including Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT), Direct Preference Optimization (DPO), and AI agent development along with explainability of Language Models.
Participants will learn to run SLMs locally, fine-tune models for specific tasks, align them with user preferences, and build AI agents using SLMs. The session includes hands-on exercises using Python, Hugging Face Transformers, and Langchain to provide practical implementation experience. The session will also include an introduction to explainability of Language Models followed by real-world implementation case studies by IronOne of Small Language Models and AI Agents.

Modular Agent Design: Breaking Monoliths into Microservices
This workshop demonstrates how to transform monolithic AI agents into modular, microservice-style architectures. Participants will apply these concepts in a hands-on exercise, converting a single-prompt agent into a modular system to experience how this architectural approach enhances performance and enables iterative development.
